Bio Statement
Augustus Invictus is an attorney and community leader in Orlando, Florida. Best known as a radical philosopher and infamous social critic, he is Managing Partner of Imperium, P.A., the law firm he founded in 2013. His father, a criminal defense attorney, instilled in him a deep respect for justice and an equally deep distrust of government. “Law and justice are two totally different things,” he would say. “And it is our job to seek justice.” Since becoming an attorney, Augustus has worked to defend those who have become collateral damage of America‘s two longest-running wars: the War on Drugs and the War on Terror. In fact, Augustus‘ decision to enter into politics was based on his own experience in the War on Drugs as a pharmacy technician. When the Drug Enforcement Agency forced his pharmacy out of business, his family lost everything. He experienced first-hand the tyranny of the Government‘s prohibition policies. While in law school, Augustus earned a fellowship at the International Human Rights Law Institute. His work centered on international criminal law and the laws of armed conflict. Here he learned well the consequences of America’s often reckless foreign policy. As a Senator, Augustus will seek to correct the evils of government – especially the extraordinary damage caused by prohibition and interventionism, both of which harm American interests.
